This is the "driftwood fort" built on the edge of the dunes in Klipsand Beach. My home away from home--hi hi! Originally started in 1996 during a hunt for firewood after a fierce pacific storm. The fort is 3 stories high and has been added onto during the past 4 years. It has begun to attract tourist from around the world. It is a tradition for visitors to attach floatsam found nearby. The fort has also begun to grace Numerous post cards. I have now started a second structure next to it When you visit the Long Beach Peninsula, be sure to visit my little fort. Located at KLIPSAN BEACH |

The VW "pickle Bus" is currently undergoing some re-animation. Sorry to say that the condition of the van is very sad. My health problems, coupled with the van parked under spruce trees at Longbeach hass taken its toll. I am going to "chronicle" the restoration as much as possible |
This is not the beginning of the project. The bus has been trailered to my home in Kelso. It is in the driveway soaking up all of the attention that is being lavished on it. It will not be a"show" car, just functional. I will be operating "MOBILE" from the van while working on it. The solar panels are powering the vdub's battery. I am running low power from the icom-706mk11g into a homebrew vertical mounted at a rear air intake. |
