Yes, the eruption of the volcano, my death experience, both changed our lives, but they are just there. I don't necessarily see it in the way that you might. Q. I've come back to your page and I am anxious to have you complete the whole story! What is taking you so Long? |
Just like you, I do have a life. I am not able to spend a lot of my time totally dedicated to writing this book. I would really like to do more. When this work is completed the satisfaction of having done this task will most likely be completely overwhelming. However, I do have family, friends, obligations and responsibilities which I must also attend to. If you are like me, family is a very large investment and requires considerable time! I also like to have fun and must from time to time fit a little fun in my life. The fact that I am also slowed a little from my disability contributes to the time it has taken to get this all down on this site. Since I have also had strokes Since this time, that too contributes. Having been in comas and problems associated with them effectively halts my work at those times completly! I would also like to mention that I do read every letter and e-mail I have received and I do strive to answer as many as possible. I have been averaging about 30 answered letters a day. This alone takes a very considerable amount of my time and effort. My apologies to those of you who write and have not received an answer. I am finding as the volumn increases it becomes quite difficult to answer every one. Many of those most likely will find an answer in the Q and A's. I try to fit as much in my day as possible. Additionally I get disrupted by personal visits and phone calls. I do my best to be polite and cordial and answer the questions posed to me. These of course disrupt my train of thought and flow when I am "on a roll". I do appreciate all of the interest in my experience and I absolutely must share the message but they are very very taxing to me since I do tire easily and must take a break time to refresh my physical self or allow my voice to regain its' strength. Those who have visited or spoken with me have seen this happen, have heard my voice fade. As I have already shared, it is painful for me to speak. If I talk too long the 'OL voice box aches for some time. However, I will endeavor to continue no matter what interruptions there are untill this work is completed! Finally, I must point out that I am not a writer. I sometimes find myself with inspiration and tackle a large chunk of this task, and then I have to decide how to put it on this site. In effect I have written what has been posted several times before it is uploaded to the net, mistakes and all! Also, I will find that I have left something out and I must insert it somewhere. Then there are all of the boo-boo's in typing this. I make mistakes and also the program itself makes mistakes. Continually, the word processor for this homestead program will actually skip and miss letters typed in so there are numerous misspellings and words run together. Typing slow is necessarily dictated by this. I imagine a more powerful computer would eliminate this problem, but I work with what I am so very fortunate to have! Also, I am doing my very best to give a true and accurate account. It is going to take some time. I equate the completion of this book to the statement George Burns made concerning his success. "I worked hard in this business for 40 years, then one day, viola, I'm an overnite success" So I will continue to work hard at doing the best I can writing this book so that one day, "viola, it is complete"! Please be patient with me, just as with this book, I too am a work in progress. |

I do not necessarily keep "regular" hours, often I do a flurry of work at extremely odd hours of the day. I am also a somewhat private person and I need a place where I can retreat too. I am not necessarily very comfortable when I am having more severe problems by having anyone but my immediate family around me at those times. The number of your offers of assistance is wonderful and imagine my having a few hundred over every day. I would appeciate the help, but I do so worry that I could easily be distracted from focusing on the content. There are a number of ways you still can help me. Help me find typo's and spelling mistakes. This would be a very very big help. Even though I am writing this and re-reading it often, I simply overlook mistakes. It is just that the work becomes so familiar to me that I just simply miss them. It happens often! That is why newspapers and other publications have proof readers. Even with all of that help it is not uncommon to find a few mistakes in the final publications. I am just one person and of course while proof reading your own work is a good idea, you still will overlook mistakes because of your familiarity with your work. So, if you find a mistake while reading thru this work please tell me. It would be most helpful if you could tell me EXACTLY WHERE the problem is. I know there are plenty to find and just saying you misspelled such and such won't really give me the help I need. Please include Which page, Which paragraph, and which sentence. Please include as much information possible where you found the mistake! That information will help me pinpoint where it is , take a look at it, and repair the problem. |

Please sign my guestbook. yes it will help me and I have found it helps others who read the entries. Here you can tell me and everyone what you think about it. I hope that it is positive of course, but I do and often have accepted constructive criticism in my e-mail,so why not here too? I will leave on, not delete any entries EXCEPT ones which have a link to a commercial site, are off the subject, or are exceptionaly derogatory to another person. I have had three of these and all three have been removed! I have written to the owners that a link for their personal monetary profit was not appreciated. My site, my story is free and unconditional for everyones' use and viewing except for any use which equates to personal monetary enhancement. That is the only act which violates my copyright! It is actually a very cheap action to say, "your site is great please visit my ad page and buy something there from me" , Right? ( I do really appreciate and like the your site is great part) So this is the only thing I don't allow. Are their other people who have stories out there who have died and experienced what I have? Are you telling your story on the web without charging a fee or trying to hock your book? Great! If so then I think it is appropriate and quite acceptable that you put your URL, a link in my guest book. |
